How is it calculated?
It works both ways. Enter an amount and a percentage to get the increased amount, or enter an old and a new amount to see the increase as a percentage. Use it for wages, prices, rent, or any other increase.

Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate percentage increase?
Subtract the old amount from the new one, divide by the old amount, and multiply by 100. Going from 10,000 to 12,500 is a 25% increase.
How do you undo a 25% increase?
Divide by 1.25; subtracting 25% doesn't get you back. 12,500 ÷ 1.25 = 10,000.
